Intensive English

The Intensive English Program is for students aged 18 years or older who are interested in learning or improving their English language skills.

The program offers different levels, from beginning to advanced study. Occasionally, depending on the IEP census, classes with two different proficiency levels may be combined. Individual student level objectives are always accommodated. A placement test is given during the first class to determine which level is appropriate for the student. TOEFL scores are not required to enter the program. TOEFL tests are administered twice during a semester.

Students receive a certificate of completion for their work during the program. Students who complete 16 or more weeks of study may qualify for six credits toward a Saint Michael's College undergraduate degree program.
