eCollege Work Session

The class will be hands-on and computers will be provided, although you are welcome to bring your own laptop or tablet. Registration is required so we have the equipment necessary for the class members. Email ckelley2@smcvt.edu
Who Should Attend this Session:
- Anyone who knows the basics of eCollege – syllabus, announcements, DocSharing
- Anyone who has questions on how to do something in eCollege and would like to discuss with Cynthia and other faculty members
- Prerequisites – good familiarity with eCollege
What to Expect:
- Hands-on session on what you’d like to know
- We can discuss hiding units, DropBox, chat area (Live), scheduling, journals, grouping, file manager, html or whatever you want
What to Bring:
- Questions and ideas
- It would be helpful (but not necessary) if you could email ckelley2@smcvt.edu what you think you might like to work on so I can prepare materials as needed.
- Your computer if you would like if you've already tested it with Saint Michael's wireless. Otherwise we will have computers for all faculty.

Adding an Online Quiz to your eCollege Class

Quizzing students in eCollege is becoming more popular. If you are able to use multiple choice questions, eCollege will even correct the answers for you!
The class will be hands-on and computers will be provided, although you are welcome to bring your own laptop or tablet. Registration is required so we have the equipment necessary for the class members. Email ckelley2@smcvt.edu
Who Should Attend this Session:
Anyone who knows how to add Units and Items to eCollege
Anyone who has a basic understanding of the Gradebook tool in eCollege
Prerequisites – good familiarity with eCollege
What to Expect:
- Hands-on session to create an online quiz in eCollege for your students
What to Bring:
- Some real quiz questions including some multiple choice questions, some essay or short-answer questions
- An idea of potential point values for the quiz if you intend to grade the quiz
- Your computer if you would like if you've already tested it with Saint Michael's wireless. Otherwise we will have computers for all faculty.
