I have worked at the Circulation Desk since 1994.  If you have an overdue book, then I'm the one who sends you a friendly overdue notice or two.  (Or eight.)  I also chair the Exhibit Committee, so if you'd like to suggest a topic for a library exhibit, then please let me know.

In the summer, I teach creative writing during College Exploration Week.  I love visual storytelling, which explains my interest in both children's picture books and classic American film.  In particular, I enjoy funny picture books--the high comedy of Quentin Blake (I attended his first major exhibition in the USA last year at The Eric Carle Museum of Picture Book Art) and the gentle humor of James Marshall (The Stupids Die is a riot, but it's hard to beat the George and Martha stories.)  My taste in film is a bit more mature.  I can't tell you how many times I've seen Citizen Kane, Casablanca, and Lawrence of Arabia.  The classics never get old.
