I've been a librarian at Saint Michael's since 1996.  Before coming to Vermont, I was a librarian at Indiana University, and a public librarian at urban libraries in Indianapolis, Indiana and Columbus, Ohio.

I specialize in collection managment.  My current projects include:  expanding and deepening the library's book collection based on core lists for academic libraries; developing a comprehensive and ongoing weeding program for the library's circulating book collection; growing the library's collection of scholarly online journals; and refining and improving the library's print journal collection.

My interests and activities include raising two sons with my partner Sandra, fixing up our house, downhill skiing, politics and creating the perfect ipod playlist (must include Lucinda Williams and Bruce Springsteen).

I am always on the look out for a good memoir to read.  My two recent favorites are:  Here If You Need Me by Kate Braestrup and The Center Cannot Hold:  My Journey Through Madness by Elyn Saks.

I am currently reading A Nation of Wimps by Hara Estroff Marano and Elephant Rocks by Poet Laureate Kay Ryan.
