Born in Boston, I moved to Burlington when I was 9. After an on again/off again college career interupted by stints in Colorado and Califorinia I worked in the general contracting business and in a woodworking shop (Wheel and Peg Woodworking, our motto "Fingers Flying at Wheel and Peg"). I left the lucrative field of the manual arts to attend library school in Boston and secured my first professional position as the Young Adults Librarian at the Stoughton Public Library in Massachusetts. I left that position to join Saint Michael's in 1984; yes I am an old-timer.
Reading interests are mysteries, history, narratives, fantasy, and young adult.
Currently reading: The Year of Living Biblically by A.J. Jacobs and The Omnivore's Dilemma by Michael Pollan.
On the bedside table: Tom Robbins’ Even Cowgirls Get the Blues and John Thorne’s Outlaw Cook
