I have been Director of Library and Information Services at Saint Michael's College since 2006, after previously serving as Dean of Learning Resources at Mars Hill College and Associate Director of Libraries at Furman University.  My professional interests include the architecture of research spaces (both physical and virtual) and the quantitative analysis of library use patterns (yes, really.) 

I am currently serving as president of the Vermont Consortium of Academic Libraries and as vice president of the Vermont Library Association.

I am a North Carolina native, and while I love Vermont I will always think of myself as an expatriate Southerner.  My personal interests include ancient and medieval history, alternative music (Tori Amos, Ani DiFranco, Flaming Lips, REM, U2), speculative fiction, and politics.  I currently live in Westford with my wife Dayle.
