  • Reader's Guide Retrospective (1890-1982)
    The online version of Readers' Guide to Periodical Literature.   Indexes general interest/popular magazines and journals from 1890-1982. Helpful to individuals interested in American history and culture. One of the best sources to find a contemporary article written about an important event in the 20th century, and a great source for history majors looking for primary sources in modern history. 

    Some examples of magazine titles included are Atlantic Monthly, Time, Newsweek, Black Enterprise, Christian Science Monitor Magazine Section, Esquire, Forbes, Harvard Business Review, and Ladies Home Journal.

    Provides online access to philosophy journals previously available only in print format in the SMC collection.  Titles include:  American Catholic Philosophical Quarterly; Business and Professional Ethics Journal; Faith and Philosophy; International Philosophical.  For a list of subscribed titles see:  http://www.poiesis.nlx.com/titles/.  In Philosopher’s Index, users can click “Check for Full Text”.  If an article is available in a subscribed title in Poiesis, users will be able to link directly to the online content in Poiesis.

  • GenderWatch
    Full-text journals, magazines and newspapers provide historical and current perspectives on the evolution of gender roles as they affect both men and women. GenderWatch supports gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender (GLBT) studies; family studies; gender studies, and women’s studies.


  • Sage Premier
    450 journals from SAGE publications have been added to the library's ejournals a-to-z holdings.  A complete list of all journals can be found at SAGE Publications.


  • ScienceDirect Health & Life Sciences College Edition (900 journals) and Behavioral & Social Sciences College Edition (350 journals) from Elsevier have been added to the library's ejournals a-to-z holdings. 
    To view a list of titles available full text, go to http://www.sciencedirect.com.  Click Browse.  In the left column, de-select non-subscribed and click Apply.  Coverage dates are 1995-present. 

  • ARTstor
    Searchable database of digital images, with new image collections added several times a year. ARTstor covers many time periods and cultures, and documents the fields of architecture, painting, sculpture, photography, decorative arts, design, anthropology, ethnographic and women's studies, as well as other forms of visual culture.


  • BioOne.1
    BioOne.1 collection has over eighty current full text journal titles across the biological, ecological, and environmental sciences. Most of BioOne.1's titles are ISI ranked and available back to Volume 1, Issue 1 through JSTOR.

    Covers all aspects of Medieval Studies within the date range 300-1500 AD. The geographical areas covered are Europe, the Middle East and North AfricaIndexes articles published in journals and in miscellany volumes (conference proceedings, collected essays, Festschriften and exhibition catalogues).  The Library continues to maintain a subscription to Iter:  Gateway to the Middle Ages and Renaissance.
