Constitution Day
On September 17, 1787, at the Constitutional Convention in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, delegations from twelve states voted unanimously to approve the Constitution of the United States.  Today, September 17 is designated as Constitution Day and Citizenship Day.  It commemorates the formation and signing of the Constitution and recognizes all who, by coming of age or by naturalization, have become citizens.  This exhibit highlights materials from the library collection and includes ten "fast facts" about the Constitution.

Fly Fishing Book Donation
John Engels was a professor of English at Saint Michael's College for 45 years, from 1962 until his death in 2007.  He authored 11 volumes of poetry and garnered numerous awards, including being named a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize.  John was well known for his many and varied interests, particularly fly fishing and tying.  His widow, Arlene, has generously donated John's collection of over 175 books on fishing to the Durick Library.  This exhibit shows a selection of the books as well as flies tied by John himself.
