JOB TITLE: Library Student Assistant
DEPARTMENT: Library and Information Services

JOB DESCRIPTION: Library Student Assistant provides routine support services to include: answering phones, providing general information to the public, charging and discharging materials, searching various computer databases, stack maintenance, shelving materials, shelf reading, general office duties (filing, typing, photocopying, etc.), special projects, and related duties upon request.
During the summer approximately 1/2 of a student's hours are worked at the Circulation Desk. For their remaining hours, students may request to work in any of the departments listed below.

SPECIAL SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED: All positions require some familiarity with computers and other types of office equipment, (copiers, fax machines, etc.), attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with the public.
PAY RATE: SE 1
