The mission of Best Buddies is “to enhance the lives of people with intellectual disabilities by providing opportunities for one-to-one friendships and integrated employment.”
Saint Michael’s College is the only location in the state of Vermont to run a Best Buddies program. It is a student-run program, through which college students are paired with physically and mentally challenged adults from the Vermont area. Members of the program meet often as a group and participate in a variety of activities throughout the year.
For more information about the Saint Michael's College volunteer program Best Buddies, feel free to contact Rachael Sparks '11.
