WCAX evening news aired a story about a group of Saint Michael's journalism students who have created a news Web site called "Locker Talker." The site is designed to interest young teens in the news. Students

Jon Taylor '08, created the site, under the advisement of journalism instructor
Marybeth Redmond.
Kimberly Sultze, journalism department chair, was key in getting the grant that funded the project. During the weekend of October 20-21, the students will present their site to news executives at a conference in Toronto. Other academic institutions presenting at the conference include Michigan State, University of Kansas, Kansas State, Western Kentucky University, Ithaca College, and the University of Nevada-Las Vegas.
