Throughout the week, students learned the importance of philanthropy and how our graduates support the overall Saint Michael's experience both as donors and volunteers.

Monday, March 20th, over 300 purple bows were placed on gift plaques throughout campus to highlight the many contributions from our alumni, families and friends. While the bows highlighted only the tangible gifts on campus, they served as a reminder for students, faculty and staff to reflect on the impact that our donors have on all aspects of campus life.

Wednesday, March 22nd- Friday, March 24th, students wrote 735 thank you postcards to our alumni during our annual thank-a-thon!

Thursday, March 23rd was our 4th Annual Purple & Gold Day, a virtual school spirit day to celebrate being a part of the Saint Michael's community. Over 400 alumni, parents, friends, students, faculty, and staff wore SMC colors, gathered with SMC friends, family, and co-workers, took photos and shared on social media using #smcvtalumni. Later in the evening, 235 Saint Michael's alumni, families, and friends participated in our 20 regional Purple & Gold Day socials hosted by volunteers throughout the country.

Thank you to everyone who participated and made Alumni Appreciation Week 2017 one to remember! For a virtual look at what happened throughout the week, please enjoy the Storify below.
