What do you appreciate most about Saint Michael’s College?
The smaller campus setting, the engaged community, the accessibility of the faculty, and the friendships that I built.
What are you doing now?
I’m a Corporate Benefits Account Manager at Benefit Development Group in Massachusetts.
How have your experiences and your education at St. Mike’s applied to your professional life?
In my business we often have to have conversations around financial and/or regulatory realities, which can become spirited. Striking a balance between being pragmatic and empathetic during, what can be difficult conversations, and being able to walk someone through very complicated subject matter, are skills I attribute to the balance of my coursework at SMC.
What did you like about St. Mike’s location?
I liked how SMC was one-step removed from a more urban setting, but at the same time those amenities were easily accessible.
Who was your favorite professor?
Carl Zeno (retired Philosophy professor).
What advice would you give to new students?
Understand and take advantage of everything that Saint Michael’s has to offer, including using the school as a pathway to access the greater world through opportunities like study abroad and services projects through MOVE, both near and far.
What would you like fellow alumns to know?
To my knowledge, I am the only person that has listed 'Culinary Enthusiast' on my resume/CV.
