My most recent book chapter (2017) explored the relationship between motherhood identity and child loss, specifically that of stillbirth. My current research on gender identity and soccer is an expansion of work I published last year on middle and high school female soccer players. This latest work includes those previous interviews, and couples them with new data from collegiate Division I, II and III players as well as female coaches, This gender study explores how social capital, social networks and institutional structures shape the experiences and subsequent identities of all of these women in the male-dominated world of soccer in the U.S.
