Why did you choose Saint Michael’s College?
I chose St. Mike's because of how they balance athletics and academics. Both aspects of the school are amazing and the professors are there to ensure you get a quality education while still pursuing your personal goals. They are accommodating and helpful when it comes to missing class for games or races. They genuinely want to see you succeed both on the field and in the classroom.
What’s one thing you’ve learned about St. Mike’s that’s been surprising or inspiring?
St. Mike’s often flies under the radar and is not acknowledged for the excellent individuals that they have graduated. It is inspiring to me to know that great people have been through the same program that I have been through.
Looking back a year ago, is there any advice you would give to a high school senior looking at colleges?
Some advice I would give high school seniors would probably be this: Go into college with an open mind. Each person you meet, each class you take, and each experience you have while at school will be meaningful in some way.
What clubs, activities or sports are you involved in on campus? Why are these important to you?
I am a member of the Saint Michael’s Women’s Soccer Team, the Alpine Ski Team, and the Fly Fishing Club. The sports teams are important to me because they have made SMC my second home. They have welcomed me into their families and made me feel like a part of the community. The fly fishing club is important to me because I get to meet interesting individuals who share my love of fly fishing, and I get to fly fish in a new place.
What would you like to do once you graduate?
Once I graduate, I hope to attend either medical school or graduate school. I hope to become an engineer and become a researcher for the medical field.
