Summer 2017

  • Selected the search firm, AGB Search, led by Dr. Jamie Ferrare to assist us in the search process. Dr. Ferrare has many years of experience in helping institutions of higher education with the identification and selection of key leaders, particularly presidential searches. 
  • Selected a Presidential Search Committee to assist the Board of Trustees in this most important responsibility.
  • Develop a Comprehensive Position Prospectus that discusses the College, priorities for the next president and personal qualities and professional experience we are seeking in our next president.

Fall 2017

  • August 16-18 - Search Launch (Advertising, call for nominations, recruitment) Website posting
  • September/October - Recruitment Effort – Advertising, Call for Nominations, and Direct Recruitment
  • October - Search Committee Review of Candidate Applications – Due Diligence
  • November - Identification of Short List and Initiation of Preliminary Interviews with search committee

Winter 2017-18

  • December - Further Due Diligence, Research on Select Candidates and additional conversations with the search committee
  • January/February - Final candidates identified and invited for broader conversations and greater exposure. A Board of Trustee meeting will be held with candidates in preparation for deliberation, appointment and public announcement

Winter 2017/Spring 2018

  • February – June Transition planning and implementation; prepare the president-elect to assume responsibility on, or about, July 1, 2018.
