Jib-Fest

2008 JibfestIn late fall, (often before the snow starts flying) Saint Michael's student skiers and boarders get to show off their skills at the annual rail jam event on campus, known as Jib-Fest. Hosted by the the Saint Michael's Ski and Snowboard Club, Jib-Fest features live music and man-made snow. Students assemble the site with piles of snow, along with scaffolding, railings, and a ramp. Participants then slide down a short ski jump toward a railing in order to ski or snowboard along it, do tricks and land safely at the other end.

The highlights of this popular event are best told by the skiers and boarders themselves. See what they have to say!
