First Year & Transfer Students
This section offers a few details about living at Saint Michael's for the first time. If you're an incoming first year student, you'll most likely be housed in one of the three residence halls in our Quad - Ryan, Joyce and Lyons; or Founders Hall which is located by the academic buildings. If you're a transferring upper-class student, you'll be offered the same housing that our current upper-class students enjoy. Telephones
Phone numbers will be given to you with your housing assignment. Each student will have a unique telephone number and voice mail box. The use of voice mail can also be provided to students living off campus (please contact Information Technology for details). You must bring your own telephone, as they are not provided. You would need to bring a calling card for long distance service.
Postal Mail
The campus mail room is located in the basement of Joyce Hall. Each student living on campus will automatically be assigned a post office box, sent out with your housing assignment. If you will be living off campus, we suggest that you contact the post office to obtain an on-campus box number (if space is available). Having a box on campus will allow you to be better informed of campus events. Contact the post office for more information at 802.654.2430.
Computers
All rooms are wired for high speed Internet and college network access. Voicemail and cable access are also included. For more additional computer setup and information, contact User Support at support@smcvt.edu or 802.654.2020, or visit the Information Technology section of our Web site.
