Multi-Day Hike Packing List - Summer/Fall
- Large Back Pack (5000-6000 cu.)*
- Sleeping Bag (appropriate temperature rating for season)*
- Sleeping Pad (therma-rest®, ridge-rest®, z-rest®)*
- 2 Liters of Water (large mouth nalgene® recommended)*
- Plastic recycle mug
- Plastic bowl
- Unbreakable spoon
- Hiking Boots (above the ankle, well broken in, waterproof)
- Headlamp or Flashlight w/ Batteries
- Mountain Clothing (Think warm and dry, remember layering) NO COTTON!
- Nylon hiking shorts
- Base layer of polypro, wool, capilene®, cool max® bergilene® (top and bottom)
- Mid layer of fleece or wool (top and bottom)
- Windproof/water resistant layer gore-tex®, sympatex®,H2O No® (top and bottom)
- Pair of mittens or gloves
- Warm hat
- Visor cap
- Wool Socks (minimum 2pr)
- Synthetic or wool sock liners (minimum 1pr)
- Eye protection (sunglasses)
- Small pocket knife
- Waterproof matches and/or lighter
- Large trash bag for waterproofing pack
- Positive attitude
- Optional items: sunscreen, bug repellent, crazy creek chairs®, hiking pants (no jeans or carharts®, cameras, trekking poles, hydration systems, journals, rain fly's, etc.

- Insulated water bottle parkas*
- Plastic recycle mug
- Plastic bowl
- Unbreakable spoon
- Plastic mountaineering boots*
- Alpine gaitors*
- Snowshoes and/or crampons
- Trekking poles and/or mountaineering tool
- Headlamp or Flashlight w/ Batteries
- Mountain Clothing (Think warm and dry, remember layering) NO COTTON!
- Base layer of polypro, wool, capilene®, cool max® bergilene® (top and bottom)
- Mid layer of fleece or wool (top and bottom)
- Windproof/water resistant layer gore-tex®, sympatex®,H2O No® (top and bottom)
- Down Jacket and/or fleece/wool pile jacket
- 2 Warm hats and/or balaclava
- 2 Pair of warm water resistant gloves or mittens
- Wool Socks (minimum 3pr)
- Synthetic or wool sock liners (minimum 1pr)
- Eye protection (sunglasses and/or ski goggles)
- Small pocket knife
- Waterproof matches and/or lighter
- Large trash bag for waterproofing pack

- The WP will provide all appropriate equipment to include: cook sets, food, shelters, stoves, fuel bottles, maps, and compasses, first aid kits.
