How did you hear about St. Mike's?

During my junior year of high school I was given the gift of being a Saint Michael’s College Book Award recipient. This started my research into exploring what St. Mike’s had to offer and what my opportunities would be if I attend. The more I started looking into the college, the more I started to fall in love.

Why did you choose Saint Michael's College?

When I was a senior I applied to and toured 10 colleges -- the last on the list being St. Mike’s. I hadn’t really clicked with any of the schools yet. None of them really had the right feeling to them. I knew that if I was going to commit to living somewhere I had to know that it was the right community. The second I stepped onto St. Mike’s campus, I knew it was the one. Everything fell into place in that moment. The people were friendly, the school was beautiful, and I knew that I was going to make it my home for the next four years.

How have you made it your ‘Home Away From Home'?

By getting involved with anything and everything I can. I’ve tried new sports, gone on trips with the Wilderness Program and explored Burlington. St. Mike’s has so much to offer and college is a really great time to get involved and try new things! Also, St. Mike’s offers housing for students all four years, so this creates a family atmosphere and literally makes it my home away from home.

What kind of contact do you have with Alumni?

Every year, St. Mike’s puts on the Career Symposium which brings alumni to campus for dinner so students can network with professionals in their perspective fields. Through these dinners, I have been able to meet numerous alumni and get the chance to exchange contact information with them to not only further my career, but to also ask for advice and guidance through my college experience.
