Favorite Local Employer for SMC Internships
The Office of Admission welcomes interns every school year. I love working with students who are thinking about careers in Admission & Enrollment. It’s the perfect example of how a liberal arts education links a huge array of majors to the work of promoting Saint Michael’s College, counseling students, planning events, and using data!

Favorite Campus Tradition
While Commencement is always bittersweet, I love watching students that I got to know as high school seniors celebrate their accomplishments as St. Mike’s grads! Faculty and staff cheer students along the processional route and it’s one of my favorite moments of the year.

Favorite Organization on Campus
All student leadership stems from our Student Government Association, which is the voice of each class, club, and residence hall on campus. Student leaders are given real responsibility at Saint Michael’s to create an engaging and vibrant community and it all starts by joining the SGA!

What I love Most About Vermont
There are so many things to love — from our four distinct seasons, to the local food, to the sense of community. Vermont is consistently ranked as a safe, healthy, happy state. I’m proud to be raising my family in Vermont.

Discuss a Moment When You Have Done Well or Done Good
Working in Admission & Enrollment has allowed me to put my Saint Michael’s degree to great use because I get to do meaningful work helping students and their families and promoting a place I love, while building a rewarding and interesting career!

Elizabeth “Liz” Scott, the College’s archivist in Durick Library, has found a useful worthwhile project to pursue remotely while in isolation during the pandemic at her home in Jericho “I have been working with Jen Purcell [history faculty] and Mike Stefanowicz [director of admission] to put together something for the future,” inviting all members of the Saint Michael’s College community “to help us in documenting this unprecedented time. We are piloting a project that is intended to capture thoughts and feelings as we meet the day-to-day challenges brought about by Covid-19.”
