Remote Teaching and Learning Summer Workshop Series

The Saint Michael’s Graduate Education Department is excited to offer the Remote Teaching and Learning Summer Workshop Series to support educators heading into the fall during these unprecedented times. We surveyed Vermont teachers and leaders to determine their needs and, in response, procured experts in the field to teach these workshops. The series has been designed to offer innovative strategies and tools to build educator capacity to teach, engage, support and assess all learners in preparation to teach remotely.

The 3-hour online workshops are either synchronous or a blend of synchronous and asynchronous professional learning in the areas of: Equity, Community, Engagement, Personalization, and Assessment. We are thrilled to offer this virtual space for individuals or colleagues and teams to come together to further develop their skill set and fuel the momentum to start the school year strong.

See below for a complete list of workshop offerings and to register. Each workshop costs $100. All participants will receive a certificate of completion at the end of each workshop.

Online learning can be energizing and engaging if frameworks and dispositions are developed that align with the human needs of safety, connection, meaningful engagement, choice, and respect. In this 3 hour workshop, you will learn some practical tools alongside some theoretical frameworks to guide every step of your online learning events or classes.
