Favorite Restaurant Recommendation for Your Campus Visit
Sneakers Bistro in the Winooski Circle. They are always super busy (because their food is so good), so make a reservation when you plan to visit!
Favorite Local Employer for SMC Internships
Fuse Marketing Agency, also located in Downtown Winooski, is a great internship opportunity for SMC students, as well as the chance to represent them as a brand ambassador. Named “The Best Place to Work” in Vermont, with three times the industry average in client retention, Fuse works to gain genuine brand engagement with Gen Z and Millennials. Specializing in marketing services for content, campus, influencers, sports, music and retail, Fuse provides ample opportunity for students with a wide variety of interests and personal hobbies.
Favorite Campus Tradition
Orientation is a great way to meet new people and participate in fun activities. It is also an excellent opportunity to learn where all the important locations are on campus like your first semester classes, the IT Helpdesk, the Bergeron Wellness Center, the fitness and recreation center, and even where the ice cream station is in Alliot!
Favorite Way to Get Involved on Campus
I highly recommend becoming an Orientation Leader. Not only is it a rewarding experience welcoming new students to campus but it’s a lot of fun! During the one-week training period, the entire Orientation Team goes on an overnight trip to Saint Anne’s Shrine. Collectively, they enjoy the lake, team building activities, corn hole, BBQ’s, s’mores and even cabins with air conditioning.
What I love Most About Vermont
It is so easy to get fresh, locally grown fruit, veggies, meat, eggs, and a plethora of maple syrup products! I love food and it makes it even better knowing not only where it comes from, but who it comes from.
Discuss a Moment When You Have Done Well or Done Good
Transferring to St. Mike’s in the middle of a global pandemic was difficult. However, the amazing faculty, staff, and resources helped me flourish in a new environment and community, despite all other factors. Returning to Saint Michael’s College to work in the Admission Office has provided me an excellent opportunity to give back and work with an amazing community of diverse people!
