Sample Pathway

Ellis is a first-year student and a probationary member of Saint Michael’s College Fire/Rescue who plans on taking their state-approved EMT course over the summer.  Ellis is passionate about emergency services and believes it will strengthen their application for a Physician’s Assistant program after graduation.  Ellis could choose the following pathway.

• UPE Core Course: Professionalism: Theory and Skills for the Global Workplace
• Co-Curricular Engagement: Saint Michael’s Fire/Rescue
• EMT Certification:
  • State-Approved EMT Course
  • National Registry of EMT Cognitive Exam
  • National Registry of EMT Psychomotor Exam
• UPE Core Course: Professional Endorsement Portfolio and Practicum.
