Robin Wall Kimmerer, Braiding Sweetgrass

Robin Wall Kimmerer, the author of the 2021-2022 FYS Common Text, will talk about the dominant themes of Braiding Sweetgrass, on Monday, September 27, at 7 p.m. The talk will include cultivation of a reciprocal relationship with the living world. Listeners are invited to consider what we might learn if we understood plants as our teachers, from both a scientific and an indigenous perspective. The talk includes a look at the stories and experiences that shaped the author.

Talk to be followed by Q&A.

Dr. Kimmerer will speak virtually (remotely) via a Zoom webinar; students, faculty, staff, alumni, or other guests are invited to attend in person in McCarthy Recital Hall or to attend the online webinar.
