This event will be an opportunity for dialogue\, learning\, and perspective sharing regarding the issue of harmful and racist mascots. We will also examine the curricular and pedagogical implications of the many themes throughout the book including racism\, identity\, tradition\, sports culture\, activism\, family dynamics\, power\, multiculturalism\, and teacher practices. This is a UPLIFT event!
