Current Students

Our graduate students hail from all over the United States and the world and our diversity reflects the cultures and impressively broad range of practitioners and students within the TESOL field. We pride ourselves on having a small, close-knit community of students and faculty, where our students can form a lifetime network of professional friends.

On campus, students have access to a variety of services and events, including our International Coffee Hour, nationally recognized theatre, sports events, and speakers from all over the world. These add to our unique community approach to learning.

Campus Services

Open over 100 hours a week during the academic year, the Durick Library supports research and scholarship by students, faculty, and staff. Our collection includes over 270,000 volumes, 60,000 online journals, and 7,000 videos, and grows each year. The Durick Library provides state-of-the-art technology, including 130 research databases and off-campus access to online resources.

Our campus has several options for fresh, delicious food that’s affordable
and convenient, including two cafés and a dining hall. As a certified Fair Trade Institution, we offer Fair Trade coffee, tea, and bananas, as well as local, farm-
to-table dishes, plus vegetarian and vegan options.

Located on the first floor of the Alliot Student Center, the Campus Store provides text books, Saint Michael’s gear, and more, including affordable laptops through the CampusHP program. It’s open during the academic year Monday through Saturdays, with slightly more limited hours during the summer.

Located on the second floor of Alliot Student Center, the Cashier's office handles making your KnightCard ID and assists in adding money to your ID so it can be used like a money card on campus and on some off-campus locations.

The Adventure Sports Center acts as an outdoor guide for the entire Saint Michael’s community, offering outings and classes every weekend as well as extended trips. Go hiking, climbing, kayaking, skiing, and much more. Graduate students can also purchase a discounted Season Pass to Smugglers’ Notch Ski Resort.

For a real cultural experience, check out our campus theater, the Playhouse. Now in its 65th season, Saint Michael’s Playhouse has been named “One of the best regional theater companies in America” by the NYC Drama League and hailed by Yankee Magazine as “The Best of New England.”

Saint Michael’s students receive free access to all local bus routes in the greater Burlington area, as well as regional routes that travel to Montpelier, Middlebury, and other Vermont cities. All you need is your student ID to ride free.
