Plan Your Travel

When Should I Arrive?
Pay close attention to the arrival date in your admission materials and contact us if you have a question. If you arrive early, you will likely need to stay at a local hotel at your own expense and take a taxi to your destination.

Airport Pick-up
Send an email to ArriveSMC@smcvt.edu to let us know your flight details. If you will be living on campus, we will pick you up at Burlington International Airport (BTV).

Upon arrival at Burlington International Airport (BTV), a Saint Michael’s Student Assistant will meet and drive you to your residence where you will be welcomed into university life by your Residential Director and fellow students.

Complete Your Forms
It’s important to complete and return the required forms at least one month before you arrive.

Billing and Payments
Payment for your first session or semester is due at least 10 days before your classes start. More information about billing for specific programs and ways to make international payments can be found here.

Almost all students at Saint Michael’s College live in a residence hall. Read more about living at St. Mike’s.

What to Bring?
Don’t bring too much!

If you are living on campus, see the FAQs above for information about room furnishing and linens.

During International Orientation, students have the opportunity to join a shopping trip to local stores to purchase needed items, like toiletries, bedding, fans, and other items you may not wish to carry with you. It’s also easy to order supplies online and have them shipped to you at SMC.

Remember that US beds may not have the same dimensions as beds in your home country, so you may wish to purchase bedding in the US.

You can find even more information about what to bring here.
