Something Is Broken
Lightbulb out? Furniture broken? Too hot or too cold in your room? Go to the Facility Services page on mySMC and follow the instructions after the Work Orders quick link. Use your @mail.smcvt.edu address to submit a claim.
What if it's an emergency? Call the Switchboard at 802.654.2000. Examples of emergencies: broken window, broken door or lock; no heat in the winter, no electricity, or a major water leak.
Laundry or Vending Isn't Working
If a washer, dryer or vending machine is not working properly, please go to the Facility Services page on mySMC and follow the instructions after the Work Orders quick link. Use your @mail.smcvt.edu address to submit a claim.
Please include the following information:
- Your name
- Location of Machine (what building)
- Type of Machine (Washer, Dryer, Snack, or Coke Machine)
- Machine Number for Washers & Dryers
- Explanation of Specific Problem
A work request will not be placed unless all of this information is provided.
If you lost money in a washer, dryer or vending machine, please contact the KnightCard Office in Alliot Student Center 203 or at 802.654.9500.
Your KnightCard Isn't Working
Visit the KnightCard Office in Alliot Student Center 203 from 9 AM to 3 PM, Monday through Friday for any KnightCard related issues.
For problems related to residence hall access, visit the Student Life Office in Alliot Student Center 103 between 8 AM and 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday.
You Lose Your KnightCard
Call the KnightCard Office as soon as possible so that it can be deactivated. After hours and on nights and weekends, contact the College Switchboard at 802.654.2000 to have your card deactivated.
