Golden Knight Yearbook Biography Submission

Your Golden Knight Biography

As part of the Class of 1973’s 50th Reunion Weekend celebration, the Office for Alumni & Family Engagement invites you to briefly share your personal and professional journey from the past 50 years to be included in a Golden Knight Yearbook that will be published and shared with classmates. We ask you to write your own story in 6-8 sentences and include an updated head shot of yourself. All information shared will be kept for the sole purpose of including it in the booklet that will be distributed during Reunion Weekend this June. Your information will be printed as is with minimal editing save formatting, typos or grammatical errors.

Your entry could take on various forms. You could focus on some biographical information like a Golden Knight did last year. Here is one sample bio:

After graduating, and being commissioned in the Air Force through ROTC, Brian served 20 years in the Air Force. His family was stationed throughout the States, moving 9 times, including a 3-year tour in the Philippines. After retiring from Scott AFB in Illinois, Brian held several Human Resources positions before finally retiring for good in 2014. Brian and his wife, Paulette, a retired school administrator, have two grown sons and six grandchildren, all of whom reside in Illinois. Their retired lives include volunteering several days a week and Brian generally plays golf a couple of days a week, too. They enjoy traveling and look forward to being able to continue their travels in the near future. Brian and Paulette currently reside in Shiloh, Illinois, a small town approximately 20 miles southeast of St. Louis.

Your bio must be submitted by May 8, 2023 to guarantee it’s part of the booklet. If you have any questions, please contact Shelby Priest at spriest@smcvt.edu.
