So convinced am I of the value of a Classical education that for 15 years I home-schooled my three sons (with the help of their father--see under Saint Michael's Department of Classics, Prof. Ronald Begley), inflicting upon them the daily study of Latin (well, OK, one of them actually preferred Greek, so we let him do that instead).
It is now my great pleasure to be teaching Greek to enthusiastic students at Saint Michael's College...and discussing paper topics...and meeting with the Greek reading group...and chatting with majors at Classics lunches...and cooking for the Greek dinner at our house... What could be more fun?
