DESCRIPTION:A 2-credit On Stage (EN337) course will be taught in England in SU2026. The course will focus on five plays: two performed by the Royal Shakespeare Company in Stratford-upon-Avon\, and three others performed in London (Globe Theatre) or other venues in England. The course will be based at Wroxton Abbey outside of Banbury\, north of London. A 4-credit spring course (Shakespeare 335) must be taken in order to be considered for the summer program. \nAn INFORMATION SESSION will also be held on 9/30\, 5-6pm\, JEM 377.

Make your call now–it only takes a moment! \n*SMC MOVE JUNTES GROUP WILL BE TABLING IN ALLIOT UNTIL 5PM TODAY; IF YOU MAKE YOUR CALL THERE YOU MAY WIN MIGRANT JUSTICE MERCH!* \nOver the course of the Milk with Dignity campaign\, Hannaford has received thousands of calls from customers in solidarity with the human rights of farmworkers. These calls – along with thousands of customer emails; endorsement letters from faith communities\, shareholders\, and civil society organizations; and dozens of farmworker-led protests – have forced Hannaford to respond. \nAs workers have fearlessly come forward to uncover abuses and exploitation on the farms producing Hannaford-brand milk\, the company has rolled out knock-off initiatives designed to mimic the Milk with Dignity Program while maintaining the status quo. \nHannaford’s “standards of engagement\,” “speak-up line\,” and “farmer self-assessments” all give the impression that the company is committed to the rights of farmworkers in its supply chain. The sad truth is that the only impact for farmworkers has been heightened retaliation for speaking out and exposing the truth behind Hannaford’s milk. \nBut customers aren’t fooled. Migrant Justice has led a number of pickets of Hannaford Supermarkets encouraging people not to shop at the store that day\, and many potential customers have turned away rather than cross a picket line.
