A Message from Saint Michael’s College Public Safety

To our campus community:

This is an update regarding the fire in Colchester. The fire has been put out and firefighters are cleaning up the scene now. There were chemicals involved in the fire, but we have confirmed with incident command that there are no safety concerns for the campus at this time.

If the situation changes we will provide another update.

To Our Campus Community,

There is a large fire at an industrial facility in Colchester, near the Colchester access to the Gilbrook Nature Reserve.  The Colchester Fire Department, Saint Michael’s College Fire and Rescue and other area emergency services are on scene.  We are in communication with the responders and will take action if there are any risks to the campus.

You may notice smoke or smells in the area.  If you have respiratory sensitivities, please take appropriate precautions.
