Caroline Mary Martin of Scituate, MA, and a resident of Aspen, CO, passed away peacefully in her sleep on the morning of July 18, 2025, at the age of 32 due to cardiac complications.

She was a beloved and cherished daughter of John and Tracy Martin, and a loving big sis (and a second mother) to Carly and Heidi Martin.

Caroline also leaves behind her fiancé John McGrath, her best friend and soulmate.

Caroline was a devoted granddaughter to Joseph and Eileen Janacek of West Yarmouth, MA and Mary Lou Murphy of Scituate, MA. She also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, and cousins whom she loved dearly. No matter how far she lived, Caroline always made it a priority to stay connected and be part of family gatherings and special moments. She went out of her way to keep in touch with each and every one of her relatives—a true reflection of how deeply she valued her family.

Caroline graduated from Scituate High School in 2011, marking the start of her collegiate tennis career. She went on to play Division II tennis at Saint Michael’s College in Burlington, Vermont, where she graduated in 2015.

Caroline’s world revolved around family. She was incredibly caring and loyal, always putting her heart into everything she did. Every card and letter she wrote was filled with love and thoughtful detail. A dedicated hard worker, she could accomplish anything she set her mind to. Her sense of humor and contagious smile had a way of lifting everyone around her. Nothing made her happier than seeing her loved ones happy and enjoying life.

Caroline lived by her Uncle Tom’s life motto: “Live simply so others can simply live.” She carried those words with her in everything she did—whether she was hiking, skiing, golfing, playing softball, fishing, or enjoying summer days and nights at the SHYC. She embraced life fully, finding joy in both the outdoors and the people she loved most.
