Dennis W. Braiden ’65

Dennis W. Braiden, Fredericksburg, VA, died May 11, 2021, the College learned recently.

After Saint Michael’s, he served in the U.S. Army from 1966-1971, rising to the rank of captain, and earned the Combat Air Medal. Dennis later worked as a special agent with the FBI and had lived in Hawaii in the 1990s according to an alumni survey from that time. He received several Letters of Commendation from the Director of the FBI.

After Saint Michael’s he did advanced studies in health physics and nuclear physics at Texas A&M.

Dennis enjoyed flying and tennis and was a special Olympics volunteer in his younger days.  He had fond memories of a 50-mile hike with Jim Whitman during his Saint Michael’s Colleges days, and of a trip to watch the basketball national championship in Evansville, IN, he shared in a survey.

Dennis was married to Barbara according to the surveys. No obituary or word about survivors was available.
