Eugene Lawrence Reagan, who went by Gene, passed away peacefully in his sleep on November 23rd 2025 at the Villages of Rosemont assisted living facility in Virginia Beach, Virginia at the age of 90. He was born in Hackensack, New Jersey on October 28th 1935. He was the son of Eugene Joseph Reagan and Marie Kirschenheiter Reagan.
Gene was a graduate of Saint Michaels College in Burlington, Vermont. He served in the United States Marine Corp from 1956 to 1958. He served in the Federal Sky Marshall program. He became an agent of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms (ATF), ultimately becoming Special Agent in Charge in Norfolk, Virginia. Upon his retirement from ATF in 1990 he became an investigator for the Virginia State Bar. In this position he brought many corrupt attorneys and judges to justice. He retired in 2015.
Gene was married in 1973 to Marina Irma DePedro. Gene and Irma met at the White House in 1970 when Gene was temporarily working for the Secret Service and Irma was a flight attendant for Pan American Airways. They met at a reception for General William Westmoreland and that led to over five decades of marriage until his passing.
Gene was a lifelong Roman Catholic and member of the Knights of Colombus. He was a lover of baseball and reading.
Gene was a loving, devoted husband and father. He was brave, selfless, and kind. He was greatly loved by his wife and son. All who knew him loved and respected him greatly.
Gene, who was an only child, was predeceased by his parents. He is survived by his wife Irma and his son Eugene Jose Reagan of Virginia Beach, Virginia.
