Attorney James “Jim” Earl Tamagini Jr., known affectionately as Jimmy to those who loved him, passed away at the age of 62. Born in Malden, Massachusetts and raised in Wakefield, he was a cherished son, brother, father, and friend whose brilliant mind, humor, and resilience left an impression on everyone who knew him.

Jimmy was a proud graduate of Lexington Christian Academy and Saint Michael’s College, where he majored in Political Science. He went on to earn his Juris Doctor from the Boston College Law School, a testament to his intellect, discipline, and deep commitment to learning.

In his younger years, Jimmy was an avid bodybuilder, training with passion and placing in several competitions. That same dedication, equal parts determination and heart, carried through all areas of his life.

Jimmy’s greatest joy was his family. He is survived by his beloved children, Kyera (Tamagini) Grocki and Anthony James Tamagini, and the light of his life, his granddaughter Bianca Michelle Grocki. He also leaves behind his devoted sisters, Lisa-Anne Tamagini, Lora Tamagini, and Patricia Tamagini-Dayhoff; his nephews, Richard James (his Godson) and Michael Joseph Sanchez; and his son-in-law John Grocki. He is also survived by his faithful in-laws, Richard Joseph Sanchez, Douglas Lloyd Dayhoff, and Lisa Marie Reynolds, as well as dear friends he considered family: Briar Rose Forsythe, Patricia Archfield, and Ben Robert Mason.

Jimmy is preceded in death by his wife, Michelle Lynne (Silvestri) Tamagini; his loving parents, Attorney James Earl Tamagini Sr. and Dr. Patricia Capone Tamagini; his beloved aunt Paula Marie Capone; and his adoring grandparents, Louis and Florence Capone.

Known for being smart, funny, and resilient, Jimmy had a quick wit and a warm heart. He carried both strength and gentleness, and he made those around him feel understood, supported, and loved. His loss leaves an immeasurable void, and he will be missed more deeply than words can express.

May his memory be a blessing and a comfort to all who were fortunate enough to know him.
