James L. Strickland ’73

James L. Strickland, New London, CT, died October 21, 2020, the College learned recently.

Jim grew up in Mystic and the New London area, graduating from St. Bernard’s High School in Montville, CT, before coming to Saint Michael’s to earn his bachelor’s degree in biology. As a young man he enjoyed fishing, boating, music, theater and baseball.

Jim worked professionally as a security guard and trainer, including time as a training supervisor with Interstate Security Services in East Lyme, CT, according to College records. According to his public death certificate, he had been married and divorced. No obituary or word of survivors was available.
