John A. “Jack” Chatowski ’60

JOHN A. “JACK” CHATOWSKI, Santa Monica, CA, died November 16, 2022. Jack was born in Middletown, CT, and raised in East Hartford, CT. After Saint Michael’s, he attended graduate school at the University of Chicago, where he met Kay Liddon. They married in Santa Monica, CA, in 1965 after Jack was discharged from the U.S. Army. From 1965 until his retirement, Jack worked in government security in the aerospace industry, including for McDonnell Douglas, TRW, and Lockheed Martin. Jack was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and uncle. He enjoyed travel, hiking, camping, classical music, wine, and gourmet in-home dinners with family and friends. Jack worked to promote environmental causes, including the work of the Nature Conservancy, and charities, including the Down Syndrome Connection of the Bay Area. Jack is survived by his wife Kay, a son and daughter-in-law, two granddaughters, and extended family.
