Joseph LaChapelle, Jr. ’75

Joseph LaChapelle, Jr., Hinesburg, VT, died August 14, 2021, the College learned recently.

After Saint Michael’s, Joe earned a master’s degree in statistics from the University of Northern Colorado, and he worked for a time as chief operations officer for Integrated Financial Services Corporation in Colchester. He retired from UVM Medical Center after 32 years of service, the last several of which were spent working in the Information Technology Department. He loved his job, and everyone knew his favorite phrase, “I’m livin’ the dream.”

He had a love of the outdoors, hunting and fishing, and every year rented a camp on Long Point. He became involved with the Burlington Rifle and Pistol Club and could be found at the Jericho range every Friday and Saturday shooting with the club.

Joseph is survived by his wife, Nancy, a sister and extended family.
