Peter P. Brail ’65

Died: January 5, 2024
Class of 1965

Peter P. Brail, Wallingford, CT, died January 5, 2024.

Born in Pittsfield, MA, Peter embarked on a dedicated career with General Electric after majoring in mathematics at Saint Michael’s, starting in the ordnance division in Pittsfield and later moving to the corporate headquarters in Fairfield, CT in 1978 with roles relating to computers and employee relations information systems. His commitment to GE spanned 35 years, culminating in a well-deserved retirement in 2000.

In 1963, Peter married the love of his life, Christine, recently celebrating 60 years of marriage. Their love story began at the Boys Club dance when they were 15, and the rest was history. Post-retirement, the couple embarked on numerous cross-country drives from Connecticut to California, stopping at all the state capitals along the way, with the only place their car didn’t reach being Hawaii. Their final grand adventure was an Alaskan cruise, creating lasting memories together.

Peter’s faith also played a significant role in his life, and he was a devoted member of Holy Trinity Church. For many years, he faithfully served by collecting donations every Saturday.

Above all, family meant everything to Peter, and his commitment to family was unwavering. Peter embodied the strength and stability that his name, “Peter,” symbolizes—truly the “rock” of the family with a legacy of love, faith and commitment. He also was a supporter of a scholarship at Saint Michael’s.

Peter was predeceased by a son and granddaughter. He is survived by his wife, Christine, a son, two daughters, and extended family.
