Richard G. Fanelli ’59

Died: February 2, 2023
Class of 1959

RICHARD G. FANELLI, Madison, CT, died February 2, 2023. Dick was born in Mount Vernon, NY, and grew up in Yorktown Heights. After earning a degree in chemistry from Saint Michael’s, he married Sheila Noonan in 1960. In 1968, he earned an MBA from the University of Connecticut. Dick enjoyed a prosperous and rewarding 36-year career at Enthone-OMI, where he worked his way up from sales engineer to president and CEO, in which roles he served for many years. In his leisure time, Dick cherished days spent on the water. He also loved music, particularly jazz. He treasured his friendships. But above everything else, his greatest joy was his family. He and Sheila traveled the world together, enjoying and learning about many countries and cultures. They loved their time living in Belgium as empty nesters (and not yet grandparents). Dick enjoyed having his family near him in Connecticut and when enjoying winters in Florida. He is survived by his wife Sheila, his brother John Fanelli ’63, three children, six grandchildren, and extended family.
