Ron Jewell passed away peacefully Tuesday night, with what mattered most to him in life, to be in his home with his family by his side.

His legacy will be carried on through his loving wife of 50 years, Janice Paulsen Jewell; his children – Evan Jewell, Ross Jewell and Mischa McManus, Noah Jewell, Anna Jewell and Matthew Miller; and his adored grandchildren Kylie Rose and Ryan Poturnicki, Tatianna, Rosie, and Sophie. He was treasured by the Reilly, Paulsen, Casagrande, Fair, and Healey families as a brother, friend, and uncle. Ron believed in the power of family, and dedicated his life to creating a loving and supportive home.

His interests were varied, starting with his business, Jewell Insurance, which he shared with his father Francis Jewell and brother-in-law Bob Fair. Ron loved the outdoors and was an avid boater for many years on Cape Cod, and later at his summer home on Lake Winnipesaukee. He loved to travel with his wife, family, and friends. It brought him joy and peace to soak up the sunshine and look out over the water wherever he could find it.

Ron was a thoughtful man – generous with his time, guidance, and words of encouragement. He was always an optimist. Ron found the best in people and lived a life that inspired others by embracing each day with a heart full of love.

He was a gentleman and a gentle man.
