Stephen J. McCulloch ’57
Stephen J. McCulloch, Bluffton, SC, died January 19, 2024. He was the College’s National Alumni Director from 1977 to 1979.
Raised in New Rochelle, NY, Stephen graduated from Iona Preparatory School in 1953 before coming to Saint Michael’s. He married Dorothy Helen Heenehan in 1957, and eventually they settled in Poughkeepsie, NY, where they raised their six children.
Stephen was a financial analyst for IBM for more than 30 years. He loved to take his family skiing in the winter and to the beach in Madison, CT, for the summers. Stephen and Dorothy lived in Madison for several years before moving to Bluffton. In recent years, he rediscovered his passion for golf and spent as much time as possible on the golf course in Sun City.
He was predeceased by his first wife, Dorothy McCulloch and their son, Christopher McCulloch. Stephen is survived by his wife, Beverly Hyde McCulloch, three sons including Stephen “Steve” McCulloch ’81, two daughters, a sister and extended family.
