Thomas A. Theberge ’53

Thomas A. Theberge, Torrance, CA, died August 13, 2023. After Saint Michael’s, Tom — a Bennington, VT, native and a math major in college — was drafted into the Korean War, serving in the Army and rising to corporal, before he made his way to the West Coast. For a time in the 1960s, he studied electrical engineering at Loyola University in Los Angeles, took extension courses through UCLA, and worked as a section chief with Douglas Aircraft. Tom loved the South Bay area of Los Angeles, and he enjoyed sailing and the beach. It was at a party in Manhattan Beach that he met his wife Patricia, whom he married and together they raised four children. Patricia died in 2005. Tom is survived by two sons, two daughters and extended family.
