My academic and professional path, which began at Saint Michael’s College and has brought me to Dongguan City College (Guangdong Province, China), is a testament to the power of combining mathematics, marketing, and data science. Graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from Saint Michael’s College in 2017, I embarked on a journey that skillfully intertwines analytical rigor with practical applications.

Post-graduation, I pursued further education at the University of New South Wales, earning Master’s degrees in Mathematics and Business Analysis & Marketing. This period was crucial for developing my skills in data mining, e-marketing, and customer behavior analysis, which proved invaluable in my subsequent role as an Operation Specialist at Bytedance, enhancing key performance metrics in various search categories.

In my current role as a teacher at Dongguan City College, I specialize in teaching advanced survey data analysis. My curriculum includes in-depth topics like t-tests, ANOVA, regression analysis, clustering, deep learning techniques, and textblob packages for text data analysis. My goal is to empower students to analyze and interpret complex data sets and apply these techniques in practical contexts.

My current research revolves around leveraging Bayesian theorem to enhance the accuracy of predicting consumer behavior. This innovative approach represents a significant step forward in understanding and forecasting market trends, offering a more nuanced and precise analysis of consumer patterns. As I look forward to potentially joining the University of Macau’s Ph.D. program in Marketing, my ambition is to delve deeper into the fusion of academic theories with practical market applications, particularly in the realm of marketing analytics. I am excited about the prospect of expanding my research in Bayesian theorem and its applications in marketing, contributing to both the academic community and industry practices.

I am deeply grateful for the opportunities and guidance I’ve received throughout my journey. The experiences and knowledge gained from Saint Michael’s College to Dongguan City College have been instrumental in shaping my career. As I continue this journey, I am enthusiastic about making significant contributions to the fields of marketing and data analysis, and inspiring future generations in these dynamic disciplines.
