Director of Resident Services and Homelessness Prevention Initiatives at Champlain Housing Trust (CHT). I lead a team of social workers whose goal/mission is to help CHT residents maintain their housing; also work with those experiencing homelessness to find a home.
Thoughts on teaching
The classroom is an amazing place. It’s a gift for all of us. I don’t take the gift lightly. The goal I have for students is that they share in the learning process and potentially learn from not just me but from each other. I make it habit of blending my two work worlds together. Meaning I bring issues/challenges I/we are having with CHT residents (anonymous of course) to the classroom and we brainstorm/discuss solutions. It’s always a fruitful process.
