The Human Resource Management minor at Saint Michael’s can help you build the knowledge and skills to support, lead, and advocate for others in the workplace in one of the fastest-growing industries.

The minor is a strong fit for students who enjoy working with others to build healthy workplace cultures, support employee growth, and assist organizations in making fair and effective decisions. You will gain practical insight into how organizations recruit, train, evaluate, compensate, protect, and retain employees while balancing legal, ethical, and strategic responsibilities.

Curriculum

Human Resource Management minor courses are taught on campus and on-line through a partnership with Rize Education. This combination, supported by a Saint Michael’s liberal arts education, prepares students to succeed right out of college and far beyond.

The minor will prepare you for roles in human resources, talent recruitment and acquisition, employee relations, training and development, compensation and benefits administration, and organizational leadership. It also provides a valuable foundation for graduate study or professional certification in human resources, management, law, labor relations, or organizational development.
