Craig Tynan ’56
Craig Tynan, Camarillo, CA, died December 21, 2022. Some of his favorite Saint Michael’s memories included singing with the Octet under the direction of John Donoghue in 1952 and working as editor of The Michaelman student newspaper in 1955. He majored in business administration.
Craig flew Air Force B-47 and B-52 bombers during his Air Force service from 1956 through 1964, and he later became an airline captain for TWA from 1964 until 1989. After his retirement he became a fulltime “RVer,” traveling all over the country in his Recreational Vehicle (RV). A good and generous man, Craig was also an avid mountain climber, a hobby he shared with his sons.
His first wife, Marilyn, died in 2005, and his second wife, Mary died in 2022. He is survived by two sons, two daughters and extended family.
