Gerald Douglas (Gerry) Sullivan, 79, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 28th, 2026, at Baptist Health Louisville.

Born in Westerly, Rhode Island, on August 28th,1946, he graduated from Saint Michael’s College, in Winooski Park, Vermont. He moved to Louisville, where he met his wife Judy Hudson and continued his career with IBM, where worked for 30 years. He loved to paint pictures and build custom frames to display his art. He was also a black belt in Kenpo Karate, and previously very active with the Irish Society of Kentuckiana.

Gerald was preceded in death by his wife, Judy; his parents, Doug and Iva Sullivan; and brothers-in-law Kenny, David and Paul Hudson.

He is survived by son, Doug Sullivan (Crystal); and grandson, Thaddeus; brothers, John Sullivan and Tom Sullivan (Kathy); brothers-in-law, Terry, Jim and Tom Hudson; many nieces and nephews; and his devoted friend and caregiver, Becky Craven.
